Prefabrication

Our processes are what make us effective.

At All Star Electric, one of our priorities on every project is to remain as efficient as possible.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION APPROACH

All Star Electric’s design-assist / value assessment services distinguish us from our competitors. Early participation helps facilitate construction before the completion of design documents to ensure the project stays on schedule. Reviewing unique requirements allows us to recommend the most cost-effective and quality solutions. Our project experience along with historical data results in the development of prompt and realistic budgets from conceptual design. When preparing a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) estimate, we establish a complete and comprehensive estimate based on partial construction documents with a list of design assumptions and qualifications identified through the process. As the design process moves forward, we can provide a more detailed cost estimate for our fabrication department.

PRE-FABRICATION

This is an example of our relevant capabilities - these were created for the Superdome Phase 1 project. Pictured is the Mercedes Benz Superdome South Conduit Rack - built in Navisworks, and then pictured in post installation.

Pre-fabrication at All Star Electric is the basis for more efficient installation, which is achieved with prior planning and managing of all aspects of the project. Our drafters meet with project management and field supervisors to assist in the layout of items such as conduit runs for feeders, racks for branch circuit home runs, stub-ups for telephone/data outlets, and complete outlet box assemblies, and power and lighting whips. The pre-fabricated items ship to the job site packaged and ready for installation. Field installers now can focus on the task at hand limiting the amount of wasted time searching for material. Each bin arrives on the job site marked specifically for the area of installation. BIM coordination is the key element and driving force of the pre-fabrication department. Job productivity increases, which in turn helps the project team maintain the construction schedule.
